What a Drone Inspection Covers

A drone inspection covers your entire external roof and gutter system, helping you catch problems early and avoid costly repairs later.

Roof tiles. Cracked, missing or damaged tiles, spotted before they cause leaks and water damage.

Ridge tiles and lead flashing. Looseness or cracks here are key signs of a roof losing its integrity.

Gutters and valleys. Blocked or damaged drainage leads to water build-up and damp.

Chimneys. Structural and surface problems that let water into the house.

Qualified and Experienced

Certified for safe and legal drone operations, Steve’s expertise goes beyond flying. It’s about delivering a detailed, reliable assessment of your roof.

With extensive flight experience and more than 30 years in the roofing and home improvement industry, he’s ideally placed to give you a complete understanding of your roof’s condition.

FAQs

What sets a drone inspection apart from traditional methods?

A drone gives a safer, faster and more complete view of your roof. Hard-to-reach areas can be checked without scaffolding or ladders, and the high-resolution footage allows a far more accurate assessment.

How long does a drone roof inspection take?

Steve is at your property for a maximum of two hours. A full inspection is around 6 to 10 hours of work in total, in three stages:

  1. Pre-flight planning. Risk assessment and a site survey, so the flight is safe and efficient.

  2. The flight. On-site filming within a maximum of two hours, with minimal disruption to your day.

  3. Post-production. Steve reviews the footage, identifies any issues and prepares straightforward recommendations.

Are drone inspections safe for my property?

Yes. The drone is operated remotely and never touches your roof. As a certified operator, Steve follows strict safety protocols throughout.

What happens after the inspection?

You receive 4K video and high-resolution photographs of your roof, then sit down with Steve to go through them. He explains anything he’s found and recommends any repairs or maintenance needed, so you have a complete picture of your roof’s condition and what to do next.
